CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, an article called “Fantasy Travels in Hondin International Mansion for 6 Days and 5 Evenings” went viral, which mainly tells the stories about Building A, Hondin International Mansion. It draws people’s attention on Hondin International Mansion, a commercial and residential complex built in Guanyinqiao 14 years ago, which used to be the highest complex in Guanyinqiao Business District.

It’s said that Building A is special because there is a dooryard, where you can view people’s life. In addition to the dooryard, from early morning to nightfall, the following fantasies inside Building A are presented.

Transfer when climbing stairs

Go straight and turn left twice afterwards

According to the Property Management Center, Hondin International Mansion, a commercial and residential complex, was built in 2005, with 48 floors in total. It consists of three buildings, Building A, B and C. Among them, Building A has 6 elevators inside (4 cargo elevators and 2 passenger elevators).

At 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., people stand in a long queue here. At 6 p.m., the queue will extend outside the lobby. During peak hours, the time when you start to queue up to entering the elevator is 15 to 30 minutes on average. If you choose a high-rise elevator, from the first floor to the 48th floor, you will spend about five minutes. People in the elevator will use newspapers, magazines and even mobile phones to cool them down. Mr. Zhu, a citizen, said he was confused about the elevator before.

The most confusing thing is the stairs of Building A. During peak hours, the stairs behind the cargo elevators are crowded with people. You can only arrive at the 8th floor along the stairs, and then you need to go straight and turn left twice afterwards to the next stair cap. Xie Zhiyong, a worker in Building A, said that when he came here to have an interview, he got lost in this building.

Many amusements in Building A

From the Floor Index at the lobby of Building A, you can see there are many businesses in the building, including companies, restaurants, board games, private cinemas, hotels and so on. There are also some residents.

As there are more and more businesses in this building, visiting it has become a new way for many young people born in the 1990s and 2000s. “They come to visit the building with friends after viewing some travel strategies.”

At 3 o’clock in the afternoon, 2 students came toward the reporter in the passageway at the 16th floor. They said that they are freshmen in a university in Chongqing and specially came to visit the building. They went to the 31st floor to have some dishes and shot many photos for every floor.

Mr. Qiu, the owner of a Japanese Cuisine in Building A, introduced that the reason why young people like to visit the building are the feeling of freshness and the cheap price of businesses compared to others.

Special dooryard

Viewing various lives

Some netizens concluded that the reason why Building A becomes the most popular is that it has a special dooryard, which brings people infinite imagination. The dooryard is the “soul” of Building A. Without it, the building would be like a normal commercial and residential building, as the article said.

After 4 p.m., 34-year-old Mr. Xiong and his friends come to drink tea here. He said that there are many tea houses with better environment nearby, but he likes to come to Building A to enjoy the dooryard to recall the memory in his childhood. When it’s time to have supper, he can also smell the aroma of food.

Xiaopeng, a worker of a photography studio, introduced that the dooryard is filled with artistic atmosphere, where you can shoot wonderful photos. Deng Fangfang, a receptionist, said that the smell of cigarettes in this building can be dispersed thanks to the dooryard. (Translated by Mao Qiao, Fathom Language Limited)
