CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2019 Smart China Expo was held on August 26, 2019. According to Chongqing Meteorological Bureau, the highest temperature in Chongqing would still reach 41℃. However, with the rainfall sweeping across the city on August 27, the hot weather will ease.

The live monitoring showed that it was cloudy to sunny in Chongqing, with thunderstorms or showers in the east. Affected by sunny and hot weather, the highest temperature in most areas of the city continued to reach 37℃ and the temperature of Kaizhou Station reached as high as 40.9℃. Chongqing, on August 24, also experienced hot weather with temperatures above 40℃ for 9 days since August 16.

On the morning of August 25, the hot sun shone into Chongqing again. At 10:00 am, more than 10 districts and counties including the main urban areas reached 33℃ above, and the hottest Shapingba District reached 34.7℃. Meteorological experts warned that in the past two days, 40℃ were still in the local regions, and citizens could choose the surrounding cool alpine areas to escape the heat.
