Promotion of internationalization degree

It is a highlight of this SCE 2019. SCE 2019 has attracted many representatives from near 60 countries and regions to participate meetings and 843 enterprises to join the exhibition. Foreign enterprises accounted for 13.6% of the exhibition area, up 4.2% from last year.

Singapore, the UK and Italy are the guests of honor and have their national pavilions set in S1 Exhibition Hall. As the guest of honor for the second time, Singapore showcases high-tech and intelligent technologies and products, such as financial technology, AI, data analysis and transportation & logistics. In the exhibition hall of the UK, the 3D real-time VR provided by the British Library displays the time travel for the public. In the exhibition hall of Italy, a red Ferrari, a blue Maserati and an orange helicopter have drawn people’s attention. In addition, in Swiss National Pavilion, the intelligent air purification service and smart house purification solution brought by IQAir demonstrate the charm of “Made in Switzerland” and interpret their continuous exploration of “intelligent life”.

Buzzwords like 5G and AI

At Central Lobby Exhibition Area, many exhibition stands show the theme of 5G. At ZTE Corporation Exhibition Area, a 5G Holographic communication equipment attracts attention. Standing in front of it, you can see the holographic image of the opposite side on the screen when you make voice calls.

In the south area of the exhibition, Intel, Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent and other World Top 500 Enterprises and scientific research institutions, like Chinese Academy of Sciences and Southwest Branch of China Academy of Ordnance Science are showed here. Among them, Tencent Youtu “cross-age face recognition” technology is applied in the AI people search project, which uses several photos in childhood to generate images of them as adults to find trafficked children. The Anti-lost Platform of Fujian Provincial Public Security Department has found more than 1,000 people with such technology.

More intelligent supporting services

During the SCE 2019, intelligent services will be provided to visitors in all aspects, like transportation, catering and washroom. For intelligent catering, Chongqing International Expo Center sets a special catering pavilion (N6 Pavilion), covering 2,000-square-meter intelligent restaurant, which achieves fast ordering and self-service food take. Such vending machine can provide a hot meal in 2 minutes, a cold dish in 30 seconds. The intelligent noodles machine can provide authentic Chongqing noodles for people in 3 minutes. Real-time temperature-controlled air coolers have been installed in the greenhouses for the exhibition.
