CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2019 International Drone Racing Grand Prix (IDRGP) was officially launched on August 27, holding 40 competitors from 9 countries: China, the US, France, Argentina, South Korea, Japan, Spain, Thailand and Singapore. They made a trial flight at the same day to prepare for the official competition in the next day.

Among which, all the competitors from China were promoted through the preliminary contest, the last year’s runner-up was automatically passed, and 12 foreign competitors were invited by the organizer. They might be “veterans” with rich experience from some world competitions and green hands only with one or two year(s)’ operation. The youngest one is only 12 years old.

Racing drone (also known as traversing machine) was mainly used in this competition. Different with aerial drone for stability and safety, it focused on speed, response and flexibility, with a small size, light weight and a maximum speed of 140-160 kilometers per hour.
