Be the master of your fate

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- There is a group of people poor in limbs, brain, intelligence, hearing or others due to congenital or acquired elements. However, they can be called as "fighters" on the field. The people who dominates their own fate are the disabled athletes representing Chongqing with a total number of 85 from 12 teams. Since August 25 in Tianjin, they have showed themselves bravely in the 10th National Games for Persons with Disabilities & the 7th National Special Olympics Game.

“Fighters” in red were going for battle in the opening ceremony of 10th National Games for Persons with Disabilities & the 7th National Special Olympics Game at the stadium in Tianjin on August 25, 2019.

Lin Miao and Cao Yitong, members of the swimming team, were participating in the final of the men's and women's S14 freestyle respectively at the Diving Hall of the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium on August 26. Cao Yitong won the bronze medal by 2’34’’86 which was recorded as a new highest in China. Moreover, the first medal has been gotten by Chongqing team during the main competition.

Mao Lin, once as a trampoline player, was failed to enter the national team due to high paraplegia causing by a fortuitous accident took in a preparation for the national championship. She got out of the psychological trauma and got herself up to pursue dream becoming a champion. Now as a table tennis player, she took part in the TT1-TT2 women's team competition on August 28 and finally obtained the championship with her teammates by 2:0 victory over Ningxia Team.
