CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the Press Conference of the 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts Chongqing Station was launched at Chongqing Municipal Press Release Center. The oil painting exhibition of the 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts will open on September 22 at the art museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Daxuecheng, Shapingba; and the sculpture exhibition of the 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts will open on September 25 at Chongqing Contemporary Art Museum in Huangjueping, Jiulongpo. This is the first time for Chongqing to hold the national exhibition of fine arts in 70 years, and it is the first time for Chongqing to hold the exhibition of two major painting exhibition areas at the same time after Beijing.

The national exhibition of fine arts is the art fair with the highest level, the largest scale, the widest scope, the largest variety and the strongest influence in China. It is held every five years. The Creative Award of “Chinese Art Award” selected from the exhibition is the highest national award in the Chinese art. There are 13 exhibition areas for the 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts.

Pang Maokun, the Vice Chairman of China Artists Association and the Chairman of Chongqing Artists Association, introduced that it is the first time for oil painting exhibition to be exhibited in west China. “Both oil painting and sculpture are the most important exhibition areas. The two exhibitions are displayed in Chongqing at the same time, which is a high recognition of Chongqing's achievements in 70 years as an important city of fine arts. At the same time, the highest level of oil painting and sculpture exhibitions to be exhibited in Chongqing can provide a chance for Chongqing people to enjoy masterpieces without traveling to other places and promote Chongqing people’s aesthetic education.”

595 oil paintings and 279 sculptures will be exhibited in the two exhibitions.

Tips

The oil painting exhibition will open from 10 a.m. on September 22 to October 22 at the art museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the sculpture exhibition will open from 10 a.m. on September 25 to October 25 at Chongqing Contemporary Art Museum.

The exhibition time of the two exhibition areas is 9:30~17:00 every Tuesday to every Sunday. The public can’t enter the exhibition areas at 16:30 every day, and the museums will be closed on Mondays.
