CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On September 26, the EV fast-charging station, established by State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) near the southwest gate of Chongqing Olympic Sports Center, was officially operated. It is equipped with 90 DC charging piles, which can simultaneously charge 180 electric vehicles. As a result, it can be regarded as the largest EV fast-charging station in Southwest China.

The vehicle power can be charged from 20% to 80% in more than 20 minutes, and to 100% only in 50 minutes by the charging pile. The owner can charge his car only by selecting the amount limits of pre-paid charging such as 10 yuan, 20 yuan, and 50 yuan after scanning the QR code on the charging pile panel. After the charging is completed, the system will automatically deduct the amount according to the actual cost and return the remaining to the owner immediately. The payment channels are various, including SGCC e-Charging, WeChat Payment, and Alipay. Moreover, the electric charge is changeable from 0.6 to 0.8 yuan per kilowatt hour in different period.

In the year to August, SGCC has built more than 140 charging stations with over 2,000 charging piles in Chongqing, mainly distributed in public administrative areas, high-speed service areas, commercial supporting areas, public parking lots and communities, so as to reach the coverage of public charging facilities in 38 districts and counties.
