Celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of PRC with paintings

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Nanjing Road Historical and Cultural Street, Beibei, Chongqing held a National Day Holiday Theme Activity of “Birthday of the Flourishing Age, Dedicating for the Motherland”, which presented the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China with their paintings. Folk painters from all districts of Chongqing gathered to create their works, and children in the neighborhood became little painters and created a "masterpiece". This event was also one of the "Nanjing Road Historical and Cultural Theme Series Activities".
Sixteen folk painters gathered on Nanjing Road to create with the background of Nanjing Road. When asked why to chose Nanjing Road as the background, a painter who came from Changshou said that "Nanjing Road is an old street with long history, carrying patriotic feelings in it, and witnessing the development and changes of the People’s Republic of China in the past 70 years, which is very consistent with the theme of ‘Dedicating Our Motherland’”.

Watercolor painting, oil painting, pen painting, crayon painting and other forms of painting can be seen at the activity. Many citizens stopped to appreciate them, and expressed their admiration of "good painting". Many painters also presented their own proud works for appreciation, so that the citizens could have a feast of art forms. In the end, the sixteen painters donated their works to sponsor, Chaoyang Street. Zhang Xiaoyu, a painter said that "it is a great honor to dedicate my motherland with my own painting."

In addition, a "large" painting, which occupied the most prominent spot in the Nanjing Road Center Square, appeared at the activity with the theme "Happy Birthday to Our Motherland".
