CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- "Charming Chongqing" float with the local float "Ingenuity Award", came back to Chongqing with the task convoy, which started from Beijing and traveled through Hebei, Henan and Hubei provinces with a total journey of 1947 kilometers. It arrived at Chongqing People's Square safely on the morning of October 12.

After taking part in a mass parade celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of The People's Republic of China on October 1, the "Charming Chongqing" float was being displayed for six days to citizens and tourists in the Beijing Olympic Park. At the end of the exhibition on the evening of October 7, the staff in Beijing dismantled and loaded cars in the park, and organized to leave Beijing and return to Chongqing in the early morning of October 9.

Over the past few days, the staff stepped up the reproduction of the float, which will be displayed to the public this week in the People's Square together with Tongliang Dragon Dance and Dazu Carp Lantern.

According to the features of the local floats that participated in the mass parade, experts organized 34 local floats to be awarded in terms of their creative ideas, production techniques and artistic effects.

After selection, the "Charming Chongqing" float won the "Ingenuity Award" for its outstanding theme, distinctive features, vivid form, excellent expressiveness, attractiveness and appeal, along with 10 local floats from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Shandong, Hubei and Anhui participating in the mass parade.
