CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Last weekend, the sixth Chongqing Youth Film Exhibition was held in Jiefangbei IMAX. The film Spring Tide directed by Yang Lina, as the opening film of the exhibition, was warmly welcomed by fans.

There are five units of the festival, including exhibition unit, competition unit, film project venture capital meeting, open class of film and academic workshop. A total of 652 competing films were received at the festival, and 40 short films and 7 feature films were shortlisted. One of the highlights is the selection of feature films from this year, hoping to explore more young filmmakers with unlimited potential in the field of feature films through this award, and to open up a new platform for young filmmakers to express themselves.

In addition, the 6th Chongqing Youth Film Festival has specially planned the special exhibition unit for the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of The People’s Republic of China, which is divided into two sections: "Motherland in the Film" and "Chongqing in the Film", in order to review the cultural and historical images of various stages since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
