CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, a micro blog called "Classical and Modern Chongqing" went viral on the Internet. On Weibo, a “group photo” of Chongqing Raffles City and Qianfo Temple attracted netizens' praise. Many netizens commented that Chongqing was a magic city attracting the public. At the same time, many netizens also left messages to ask for the location of the photos. They wanted to personally experience and take a same picture.

At present, the micro blog has been popular in Chongqing, with 14,898 forwarding, 2055 messages and 50,450 comments.

The reporter of Chongqing Morning Post found that there were two main photos, one is the nearby Qianfo Temple and the other is Raffles City in the distance. The photos have been toned, showing a strong sense of contrast.

The nearby Qianfo Temple retained the color of golden glazed tiles, vermilion column walls and cornices. It is an antique building, especially in the picture.

The Raffles City in the distance and the high-rise building behind it were adjusted to gray. The scene of buildings integrated with the Yangtze River in the middle and the sky in the distance, seemed like a modern ink painting.

"Photos give people a strong sense of visual impact." A photography enthusiast commented that no matter from perspectives of shooting subject, shooting angle, or screen color, the photographer used the technique of comparison very well.

According to public information, Qianfo Temple was built in Jiajing Period of Ming Dynasty. It has been more than 400 years and is located on the side of Chongqing's two rivers. Qianfo Temple has been renamed for three times. There are 1000 8-inch Buddha statues on both sides of the main hall of the temple, so it is named as “Qianfo Temple” at last.

According to photography enthusiasts, Qianfo Temple is located at the intersection of Nanbin Road, Jialing River and Yangtze River. It is an important scenic spot on Nanbin Road and the best place to see Chongqing Chaotianmen Wharf and the Grand Theater. (Translated by Luo Juan, Fathom Language Limited)
