According to Wanzhou, Chongqing, on October 29, the water level of Wanzhou section of the Yangtze River reached 175 meters, marking the completion of a new round of experimental water storage of the Three Gorges Project. Wanzhou has been upgraded into a "coastal city", presenting a magnificent picture of “high gorge with flat lake”, water and sky, beautiful lakes and mountains.

During the water storage period, Wanzhou was surrounded by lakes and mountains. Along the Binjiang Road, a lot of people came here to see the “sea”. Recently, many tourists have come to appreciate the beautiful scenery of flat lake brought by water storage.

When night fell, standing by the river, you can see a river with clear water reflecting the colorful lights on both sides of the north and the south, sparkling, making the night of Wanzhou more beautiful. Some landmark buildings and high-rise buildings such as Wanzhou Pailou Yangtze River Bridge were shining brightly. Beautiful neon lights reflected in the water, like waving ribbons, surrounded by the two sides of the Yangtze River with water wave after wave. The colorful river flew from wave to wave, moving and joyful.

A 10,000-ton ship could go directly to Wanzhou Port

Recently, a huge ship with 10,000 tons of cargo successfully entered Hongxigou Wharf of Wanzhou Port along the wide water surface of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area. According to the relevant person in charge of Wanzhou Port and Navigation Bureau, after the completion of water storage in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, the average width of the waterway would increase, and the waterway from the Three Gorges Dam to Chongqing Port will become smooth. The obstructed navigation reef in the upper reaches of the river will be submerged and navigation conditions will be improved.

"That is to say, a 10,000-ton ship can go directly to Wanzhou Port."
