Seven Chongqing police officers serve Chinese tourists in four Italian cities

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the morning of November 5 (local time), seven police officers from Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau and three other members of the joint patrol carried out a three-week joint patrol with Italian police.

After the launching ceremony, on the afternoon of November 5, the joint patrol first visited the Rome Provincial Police Office. In the Police Command Center, the head of the Mobile Operation Department gave a brief explanation on the overall situation of police reception and disposal in Rome Province and the working mode of the command center. Then, the joint patrol visited the Mobile Operation Department in the Rome Provincial Police Office and got to know the mobile operation force in Rome. Officers from the two sides had a beneficial exchange on equipment allocation, service and operation mode. Subsequently, the joint patrol came to the Command Center of the Roman Provincial Gendarmerie Command. Major Strach, the head of the Command Center, explained the functions of the Command Center of the Gendarmerie Command, the similarities and differences between the command center and the national police system. The joint patrol actively raised questions and had discussions with Italian police officers.

After the visit, the joint patrol team carried out patrols various sites in Rome. Chinese tourists who happened to meet Chinese police officers in the scenic spots all said that they were surprised to meet Chinese police officers in Italy, and they all felt at ease and steadfast. Police officers from the motherland made them feel more cordial.

From November 5 to 23, seven Chongqing police officers and their teammates will be divided into four groups. They will carry out a three-week joint patrol with Italian police in Rome, Milan, Turin, and Padova, to assist Italian police officers in dealing with issues related to the safety of Chinese tourists in Italy and facilitate communication between Chinese tourists and Italian police.
