In April 2017, the First Rock Climbing Theme Park recognized by China Mountaineering Association was settled in Huayan Gecko King National Rock Climbing Demonstration Park. It is the largest rock climbing site in southwest China, and also the first-class rock climbing site in China.

After the completion of Huayan Gecko King National Rock Climbing Demonstration Park, a large number of climbing events settled in Chongqing. “In addition to the city's events such as the climbing events of the national fitness games and the children's climbing championships, many domestic and international events have also been undertaken," Hu Yongfeng said. It has successfully held the 2017, 2018 and 2019 international Climbing Association World Cup Chongqing Sub Competitions, the 13th National Games Mass Project Climbing Finals, the 18th Asian Games National Climbing Training Team Trials, the National Youth Rock climbing U Series League, the 2018 and 2019 Asian Youth Rock Climbing Championships, the 2019 National Youth Sports Club League Rock Climbing Competition (Finals), etc. So it's no exaggeration to say that it's already one of the sacred places of rock climbing in China.

Li Zhixin, the Vice President of International Rock Climbing Federation, Director of Rock Climbing Management Center of General Administration of Sport of China and Chairman of China Mountaineering Association, affirmed Chongqing's contribution to rock climbing: "it has made great contributions to the promotion and popularization of rock climbing and the transportation of talents for the preparation of the National Olympic Games. Promotion: Public welfare training and free learning

Aiming at the problem that the number of ordinary people learning to climb is small, Chongqing Rock Climbing Association made a bold attempt.
