CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In order to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the People’s Republic of China and the United State, the Photo Exhibition of “Carry forward our cause and forge ahead into the future: Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the People’s Republic of China and the United State” co-organized by the Consulate General of the United States in Chengdu and Chongqing Library will be held in Chongqing Library from November 22 to December 21, and will be opened to the public for free. 

The photo exhibition

The 37 photos on display cover many fields such as culture and sports, recording the important moments of exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the United States in 1979, vividly showing the achievements of cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.

According to Ren Jing, the director of Chongqing Library, as an important window of Chongqing's foreign exchange, Chongqing Library has been committed to promoting international cultural exchanges and cooperation. "Since its establishment, Chongqing Library and the Consulate General of the United States in Chengdu have maintained friendly exchanges for a long time. The two sides have successfully cooperated in the construction of literature resources, public exhibition lectures, English writing competitions and other aspects, and achieved good social effects. In March this year, China and the United States successfully held the 2019 Natural Tourism Photography Exhibition, and the public responded warmly," Ren Jing said.
