BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- "Le Nozze di Figaro," a four-act comic opera composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, hit the stage of the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing.

Featuring an Italian libretto written by Lerenzo Da Ponte, "Le Nozze di Figaro," or "The Marriage of Figaro," tells of a farce that takes place when Count Almaviva, a womanizer, aggressively pursues Susanna, the fiancee of his butler Figaro, and makes repeated attempts to break the couple up. The NCPA-produced opera made its debut in 2013 and won wide popularity with Chinese audiences.
