Four stations of Chongqing Rail Transit renamed

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to the Chongqing Rail Transit Group, from December 1, four railway stations in Chongqing were renamed. They were all named after universities near by.

Chongqing Rail Transit Group introduced that according to the requirements of municipal authorities and the naming principle of unique historical and cultural landmarks within 500 meters of CRT stations, Chongqing Rail Transit Group has renamed four railway stations since December 1, according to the requirements of municipal authorities. To be specific:

“Wugongli Station” of Line 3 was renamed as “Chongqing Technology and Business University Station”;

“Ertang Station” of Line 3 was renamed as “Chongqing Jiaotong University Station”;

“Tiansheng Station” of Line 6 was renamed as “Southwest University Station”

“Shazhengjie Station” of Loop Line was renamed as “Chongqing University Station”.

In the renaming of the station, from December 1 to 30, 2019, the signal system, AFC system, train broadcasting system, dynamic map and other software systems of Line 3, Line 6 and Loop Line will be renamed.

From December 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020, the names of ticket price table, line network diagram, straight line diagram, screen door film, train compartment line network diagram and line diagram of all lines will be changed.

Chongqing Rail Transit Group reminded that due to the large amount of work and many disciplines involved in the renaming, it needs to be carried out in stages and can only be carried out after the completion of full day operation. Therefore, during the renaming period, “Wugongli Station” and “Chongqing Technology and Business University Station”, “Ertang Station” and “Chongqing Jiaotong University Station”, “Tiansheng Station” and “Southwest University Station”, “Shazhengjie Station” and “Chongqing University Station” may appear at the same time, but they are actually the same station.
