CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Last weekend, Nanqiaosi Station of Chongqing Rail Transit Loop Line was put into operation. Previously, the trial operation of the Loop Line started on December 28, 2018. Due to the construction factors, Nanqiaosi Station of Loop Line has not been opened. With the opening of Nanqiaosi Station, there are 21 stations of Loop Line in service.

In the first half of 2018, due to the construction of Wujiang Interchange, the road around Nanqiaosi Turntable was closed, and the traffic condition near Nanqiaosi was affected. No matter whether you drive or take a bus, you need to make a detour around Nanqiaosi. In addition to the impact on the surrounding residents, the most difficult ones are the patient who went to Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. The hospital was right in front of them, but it was hard to find the entrance because of the road closure. After the opening of Nanqiaosi Station of Loop Line, it will effectively alleviate the congestion of surrounding ground traffic and improve the travel environment of residents and patients along the line.

According to the person in charge of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, the daily average outpatient volume of the hospital was more than 7,000 persons; the daily average inpatient volume was more than 2,600, and nearly 20,000 patients, family members and employees come to the hospital every day. The flow of patients was quite large. Entrance and Exit 1 of Nanqiaosi Station of Loop Line is connected with Gate 5 of the hospital, leading to buildings A, B and C of the Inpatient Department, Administrative Building, Training Building, etc. Entrance and Exit 2 is connected with Gate 7 of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, leading to the Outpatient Department, Emergency Department, Children’s Outpatient Department, etc. The opening of Nanqiaosi Station is good news for both patients and hospital staff.
