CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Xiangguo Temple Wharf Area is one of the top ten public space construction nodes of “two rivers and four banks” in Chongqing’s main urban areas. The reporter of Chongqing Daily recently learned that the design plan for the improvement of Xiangguo Temple Wharf Area has been released, and the construction was planned to be started next month. In the future, the area will be “transformed” into a “fashionable and vibrant wharf” and a “three-dimensional green air garden”. Chongqing’s first river beach football field will also be built.

Xiangguo Temple Wharf on Beibin Road is located on the north bank of Jialing River (Jiangbei District). The design plan proposes the concept of “City Balcony, Air Garden” for transformation and upgrading. It will construct a multi-layer city balcony, giving each floor a unique landscape feature and urban function to create a city balcony in the air.

It is worth mentioning that the upgrading of Xiangguo Temple Wharf Area will also take into account the change of water level of the Jialing River and construct an elastic square.
