Flowers, Animals and Pirates Exhibition held in Chongqing Library

The exhibition runs from December 22, 2019 to January 31, 2020

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Poland. Recently, as an important part of the 2nd Chongqing · Poland Cultural Festival, the illustration exhibition of Flowers, Plants, Birds and Animals and Pirates has been officially opened in Chongqing Library.

The exhibition is a collection of 30 outstanding Polish artists’ illustrative works, among which there are many excellent works that have won international awards, including works in the 1950s and 1960s. “The works on display involve three types: Flowers and plants, birds and animals, and pirates. We hope that through this exhibition, more people can appreciate the unique artistic style and the imaginative world of Polish illustrators, and then appreciate the profound historical and cultural connotation of Poland from another perspective.” Head of Chongqing Library said.

Last year, the 1st “Polish Architecture Exhibition” Series of Activities of Chongqing Poland Cultural Festival, the Forum of Polish Architects in Chongqing, the “Discovering Poland” parent-child activity and the “Learning in Poland” Sino-Poland cultural exchange and sharing meeting were held in Chongqing Library. Through the platform set up by Chongqing Library, Chongqing people have a close understanding of Polish architecture, culture, tourism and education, which has promoted international exchanges and cooperation and enhanced the friendship between Polish people and Chongqing people.

The works on display included flowers and plants, birds and animals, and pirates.
