You can pass the gate through scanning the QR code when take Chongqing Rail Transit

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- From December 30, passengers can get in and out of Chongqing Rail Transit stations just by scanning the QR code with their mobile phones. Is there any preferential fare policy for code scanning and gate passing? Can you help friends to scan your code? Chongqing Rail Transit Group answered questions one by one about passengers’ concerns.

Concern 1: How to use the scanning function?

A: At present, Chongqing Rail Transit Code Scanning supports four official payment methods, namely the official APP “渝畅行”, Alipay, WeChat, and UnionPay Cloud Flash Payment.

When you enter and exit the gate, please open the corresponding payment app in advance, generate the load code, and align the load code displayed on the mobile phone with the “yellow” code scanning area at the front of the right side of the gate. After the gate passes the verification, the gate can be opened to pass the gate. The “black” area at the front of the gate still supports IC card swiping through the gate.

Concern 2: How to charge for code scanning to pass the gate?

A: The operation mode of “check in first, pay later” is adopted for code scanning and gate crossing, and the charging standard is implemented according to the basic fare system of Chongqing Rail Transit. In the using process, the principle of “one person one yard, one in one out, and the same code in and out” shall be followed. After leaving the station, fees shall be deducted according to the in and out records and relevant regulations on ticket management of Chongqing Rail Transit.

Concern 3: Is there any preferential policy for ticket price?

A: At present, the ticket price paid by scanning code is the same as the one-way ticket price, and it is not within the scope of one hour free transfer between rail transit and buses in the main urban areas. Each payment platform will carry out preferential activities from time to time. Please refer to the activities for details.

Concern 4: Can you help your friends scan the code to pass the gate?

A: No. The boarding code is only for personal use, and follows the rule of “one person one code, one in one out”. The same boarding code will be scanned continuously to enter or exit the gate and an error will be displayed. If the passenger takes a screenshot of the car code or takes a picture for others to use, the financial risks and responsibilities arising therefrom shall be borne by the passenger himself / herself.

Concern 5: Why didn’t you receive the charge-back notice from the payment platform after scanning the code?

A: It may be the delay of deduction, or it may be the unilateral travel caused by some reason, and the system cannot deduct the fee in time. For the unmatched unilateral travel, the payment platform will push the notice of additional boarding to the passengers.

Concern 6: What will happen if you use different mobile APP’s codes to scan the code to enter and exit the gate?

A: Using different mobile APP’s QR code to scan the code into and out of the gate respectively, will not affect the normal access of passengers, but it will form a unilateral travel (only in and no out, or only out and no in) in their respective mobile APP, and the additional cost of the travel caused by this shall be borne by the user.

Concern 7: What is itinerary?

A: For the unmatched unilateral travel, the payment platform will push the notice of additional boarding to the passengers. After receiving the notice, the supplementary recording of travel information shall be completed according to the actual station in the section. The payment platform will calculate the ticket price and deduct the fee according to the in and out station information after the supplementary registration of the itinerary.
