CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the lighting of Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge and the landscape lighting of Egongyan Bridge nearby form a beautiful view of “twin” bridges, making the night view of “two rivers and four banks” in the mountain city better.

The Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge is located between Haixialu Station and Xiejiawan Station of Loop Line, connecting Nan’an District and Jiulongpo District. It is an important node bridge across Yangtze River along Loop Line, which will soon be put into use. The total length of the bridge is 1,650.5 meters, and the main span reaches 600 meters. Its span is in the forefront of the world’s dedicated suspension bridges for rail transit, and it is also the world’s largest self-anchored suspension bridge with the largest main span.

It is worth mentioning that the Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge is about 45 meters upstream of Egongyan Bridge. The two bridges are known as twin sister bridges because of their similar shape and height. The landscape lighting of the two bridges is also like “twin”, with unified style.

The reporter of Chongqing Morning Post at the site saw that the landscape lighting of Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge is basically the same as that of Egongyan Bridge, with warm light color as the basic color. The double towers, suspension lines and other parts are illuminated by LED lights. The red coating at the bottom of the bridge is particularly bright under the light, just like a red “long dragon” across the Yangtze River, which also turns the river into red.
