CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the hillside on the north side of Lanfeng Tunnel, Jinyu Avenue, Yuanyang Community, Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, there were many steel bars, which were arranged in a staggered way. Two tower cranes were conducting steel pipe, steel formwork, and concrete lifting. More than 100 construction workers erected scaffolding, installing steel bars and formwork, and pouring concrete in an orderly manner. It was a busy scene. This is the scene of State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company Building Jinshan Substation, the first 500 KV indoor “stilted building” typed substation in China.

The substation has a total land area of 12,000 square meters, three floors above the ground and two floors underground, with a building height of nearly 24 meters. Different from other 500KV substations, Jinshan Substation is not only full indoor, but also limited by the site topography. It adopts the “stilted building” architecture structure, which is the first of its kind in China. After completion and operation, it may become a local scenic spot.
