Abandoned granary turned into art storage space

On January 8, citizens were visiting the “Liuyin Granary ・ Art Storage and Germination Plan” Exhibition.
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter of Chongqing Daily learned from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the “Liuyin Granary ・ Art Storage and Germination Plan” Exhibition hosted by institute has been recently opened in Liuyin Granary, Beibei District.
The Liuyin Granary, located in Liuyin Town, Beibei District, was built in 1953. It is divided into 4 warehouses and covers an area of 2,000 / 3,000 square meters. In August last year, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, together with People’s Government of Liuyin Town, started the “Liuyin Granary ・ Art Storage and Germination Plan” Exhibition. Hundreds of teachers and students from various majors, such as Environmental Art, Oil Painting, Printmaking, Film and Television Animation, Public Art, participated in the plan.
On January 8, hundreds of exhibits filled the abandoned granary. The exhibition consists of six units. “Site Reconstruction” can reproduce the memory and life of that era through the overall mapping and design of the granary, as well as the scene restoration of works such as Voice of the Countryside and Return. The “Activation of Folk Art” includes the rural courtyard restored by teachers and students of Liuyin Primary School with straw weaving technology, and the “Four Liuyin Landscapes” composed of the granary, reservoir, water channel, market and so on painted by teachers of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with prints.
