CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- To better serve the Spring Festival travel rush, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Chongqingxi Railway Station Urban Terminal and Chongqing Railway Station Airport Waiting Room are put into service, marking the official launch of Chongqing’s new “air-rail combined transport” mode.

During this year’s Spring Festival travel rush, Chongqing Airport Group, Chongqing Railway Station of China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. and Liangjiang Public Transport Co., Ltd. join hands to build Chongqing’s first “air-rail combined transport” urban terminal and China’s first railway station airport waiting room at Chongqingxi Railway Station and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport respectively, in order to provide more convenient transfer and travel service in combined transport.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Urban Terminal is located at the exit of Chongqingxi Railway Station. Passengers can check in and have luggage checked, check flights and take airport shuttle after getting off the train. Now, luggage check-in is only available for domestic flight. Except for Air China, Tibet Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Spring Airlines, 9Air and West Air, passengers of other airlines can have luggage checked at the Urban Terminal.  

Chongqing Railway Station Airport Waiting Room is also set up at the exit of domestic arrivals at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport T3. Passengers can buy and take train tickets by themselves, check train schedule and make an appointment of VIP entering and waiting at the airport. Besides, the waiting room provides free tea and water and WiFi.   

Multiple pick-up ways are provided between the Chongqing airport and railway station. In addition to regular shuttle dispatched every hour and the airport express K06 (20 yuan/person), passengers may also take the 4-seat or 7-seat business purpose vehicle (35 yuan/person).
