At the meeting, Tu Xingyong, Deputy Director of Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission, said that Chongqing made every effort to guarantee the medical supplies. As of February 3, key medicine and living supplies enterprises in Chongqing resumed production successively.

According to Tu Xingyong, as of February 3, the production of 26 medicine and medical device enterprises such as Taiji, Southwest Pharmaceutical and Tiansheng Pharmaceutical was resumed successively, especially for emergency supplies like surgical masks for the epidemic prevention and control. Fifteen key monitored enterprises like Baina, Shangkun, Huiquan and Shuangshuang have reached their target outputs. Disinfection manufacturers like White Cat, Pukang and Tiansheng Pharmaceutical have also resumed production successively.

While the medical supplies manufactures resume working and production, Chongqing also has also paid high attention to the resumption of work and production of manufacturers for living supplies. During the Spring Festival, a batch of key food manufacturers like Tianyou, Guangda and Pengjiang Food never stop production. Recently, 56 key living supplies enterprises like Hondo, Master Kong, RD Oil, Wahaha, Fuling Pickle and Southwest Salt Industry have also resumed production. Tu Xingyong said that “overall speaking, the rapid resumption of work and production of these enterprises provides adequate supplies for all kinds of daily necessities demanded by citizens.”

Besides, during the Spring Festival, 212 enterprises for water, electricity and gas supply in Chongqing have been in the normal production condition. As for key medical and living security enterprises, Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission and utilities security departments have established the “one-to-one” service mechanism, enhanced daily maintenance and timely solved problems to provide a strong guarantee for the normal operation of the enterprises.
