In the past half a month, like Chen Chun, there have been many overseas Chinese who have organized personnel, raised funds, and traveled all over the country to buy medical supplies needed for domestic epidemic prevention and control, and contacted logistics channels to deliver materials.

Before that, the General Chamber of Commerce of the American Sichuan Chongqing Association donated more than 17,000 masks, more than 22,000 gloves and 105 goggles to Chongqing Charity Association in three batches. And 15,000 medical surgical masks donated by Chongqing Chamber of Commerce of Canada have been distributed to the directional receiving list.

“I have contacted more than 100 suppliers, and encountered various problems such as no goods in the negotiated order, price increase or even delivery delay.” Although there are many difficulties, they have already transferred to Chongqing to transport about 7 tons of medical epidemic prevention materials.

The N95 masks, goggles, protective clothing and other medical anti epidemic materials raised by Overseas Liaison Office of Chongqing Chinese Chamber of Commerce and United Arab Emirates Sichuan and Chongqing General Chamber of Commerce are on the way of delivery and will be distributed to the first-line hospitals as soon as they arrive in Chongqing.

Overseas Chinese from Singapore and Malaysia are actively looking for local medical supplies, assisting in the purchase of medical masks and gloves worth 330,000 yuan, all of which will be donated to municipal hospitals.

According to incomplete statistics, as of February 7, Chongqing Municipal Federation of Overseas Chinese had received 7.13 million yuan of special donation from overseas Chinese from more than 20 countries and regions for anti epidemic, which was equivalent to 7.58 million yuan.
