2020-02-20 10:11:08

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A reporter of Chongqing Daily learned from the Institute of Dazu Rock Carvings that in order to show the gratitude to medical workers for their efforts in safeguarding the health and defend the life during the epidemic outbreak, the world cultural heritage site and national 5A scenic tourist area – Dazu Rock Carvings Scenic Area will open to all China’s medical workers for free within one year from the date of re-opening.

According to Li Fangyin, president of the Institute of Dazu Rock Carvings, the scenic area will be open for free to all China’s medical workers, and the family members (including spouse, children and parents, 8 persons at most) of medical workers fighting against the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) in Hubei Province. Besides, the advanced models who have made contributions to the fight against the epidemic will also be free to visit the Dazu Rock Carvings depending on the circumstances.

Considering the needs of NCP prevention and control and in order to avoid the cross infection caused by personnel gathering, Dazu Baoding Mountain Rock Carvings Scenic Area (including Dazu Rock Carvings Museum, Shengshou Temple and Guangda Temple), Beishan Rock Carvings Scenic Area and Nanshan Rock Carvings Scenic Area have been temporarily closed from January 25, 2020 (the first day of the Chinese lunar new year), and the re-opening time will be announced separately.
