GUIYANG, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Guizhou Province, a major labor exporter in the country, has organized chartered trains and buses to help migrant workers get back to work amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

On Feb. 17, Yang Yong, a resident of Bijie city in Guizhou, took a chartered bus for Shishi city in east China's Fujian Province, along with 20 others, after having his temperature taken and luggage disinfected.

The free trip was organized by the human resources and social security departments of Bijie and Shishi to bring over 50 locals back to work in Shishi, which is welcoming back an influx of migrant workers.

Meanwhile, Guizhou also launched online recruitment platforms to help migrant workers find jobs.

Over 2.5 million migrant workers had returned to Guizhou during the Spring Festival holiday. As of Feb. 17, more than 280,000 have left their hometown to return to work.
