Dozens of farmers wearing masks were divided into several work areas. Some of them collected vegetables, and some applied fertilizer to the ground. The new seedlings of pepper, vegetable corn, bitter melon and winter melon had sprouted. With the coming of spring, spring ploughing and sowing had been carried out in Gaolou Town, which was at the bank of Fujiang River.

“The harvest of vegetables on Zhongba is close to the end, and the next spring vegetable planting will begin immediately. We should grasp good season since it will not wait for us. While doing a good job in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus pneumonia) epidemic, we have organized the owners to put into spring ploughing in an orderly manner,” said Liu Qiyong, head of the town.

After the spring ploughing, the town will organize the mass to invest in the spring ploughing for not missing the farming time. At the same time, they give full play to the role of village leaders, grid members and yard directors, and send the agricultural materials needed by the farmers to the farmyard dam and farmers’ homes, avoiding the risk of the crowd gathered in the town to buy agricultural materials.
