CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Liu Jinglun, 42, from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, is an emergency critical medicine doctor. To fight the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus pneumonia), he was stationed in Central Hospital of Xiaogan, Hubei Province with the first medical team from Chongqing, and served as head of the intensive care unit. During the period of Xiaogan, Liu Jinglun led the team members to work closely with the local medical staff, to give full play to the professional director, to escort the severe patients, to reduce the death rate and improve the cure rate. According to the characteristics of local treatment work, Xiaogan set up an expert team to form a patrol consultation mechanism. At present, inspection and consultation has become the main task of Liu Jinglun. He needed to go to designated hospitals in different counties and cities to optimize diagnosis and treatment strategies for severe patients, and directly participated in the first-line treatment in case of emergency.

In order to give full play to the technical advantages of Chongqing, Liu Jinglun also led local doctors to conduct remote consultations many times. “Not only to save people, but also to bring technology.” In his view, it was also important for doctors to share experiences and grow together in the fight against the epidemic.
