But in the current condition, hair cutting has become a “difficult thing”. In order to solve people “prior” and other major issues, Ning Shunting, the Logistics Support Department of the First People’s Hospital of Liangjiang New Area picked up his 29-year-old haircut skills and set up a “mobile barber shop” in the hospital to cut hair for free.

In 2016, Ning Shunting, 46, formally bid farewell to his 29-years-of haircut career, came to the First People's Hospital of Liangjiang New District, Chongqing, and became a boiler worker in the Logistics Support Department. Ning Shunting needed to be on duty 24 hours while on duty at the hospital. In order to be able to observe in time whether there was an air leak in the oxygen-generating equipment, Ning Shunting should check it every two hours.

In order to solve the problem of cutting hair in the hospital, Ning Shunting picked up his 29-year-old haircut skills. On the 13th floor of the Oncology Department Corridor of the First People’s Hospital of Liangjiang New District, with a stool, a few scissors, and a cloth cover, Ning Shunting’s “mobile barber shop” is opened.

In Ning Shunting’s “Barber Shop”, there were not only scissors, combs, and hair clippers, but also epidemic prevention and disinfection products such as disinfectant, alcohol, masks, and protective covers to ensure one person one disinfection and to avoid cross infection. When heard that Lao Ning was going to have a free haircut for everyone, many doctors and nurses in the hospital who haven’t had cut hair for more than a month were so excited that they all signed up. In the corridor of Oncology Department on the 13th floor, medical staff who came to have a haircut tacitly waited at a certain distance. They all said that Ning was a master with the excellent skill.

Ran Huan is a male nurse in the emergency department. Before the New Year’s Eve, he learned that the hospital was recruiting medical staff to fight the epidemic on the first line. Nurses working in the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus pneumonia) quarantine ward also urgently needed for the haircut. After they entered the quarantine ward on January 22, they never left again. “It’s more convenient with short hair and can reduce the rate of unnecessary infection, so we’ll collectively apply to cut our hair short.” The girls were very excited to learn that Master Ning could come to cut their hair.

Cutting hair for girls needed to be more careful. Girls were considerate of Ning Shunting, and they only said that they were not willing to mention other requirements except for cutting short.
