CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Liangjiang New Area, the adaptive reconstruction project of the Chongqingbei Railway Station South Square Local Supporting Transportation Hub, which is constructed and managed by the Liangjiang New District Yugao Company, has been officially started and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. As an important part of the closed renovation project of Chongqingbei Railway Station South Square, the project is integrated with the south railway of Chongqingbei Railway Station, residential buildings, rail transit and public transportation to meet the needs of passengers and optimize the surrounding traffic conditions.

Chongqingbei Railway Station South Square started closed renovation on July 10, 2019. In order to further improve the Chongqingbei Railway Station South Square passenger entrance and exit facilities, the construction of the project includes the restoration of the square landscape, layout transformation, decoration renovation, 2 under traffic lanes and other projects.

“After connecting the South Square and the North Square, it will take you less than 10 minutes to walk from the South Square to the North Square.” According to the person in charge of the project site, after the completion of the project, passengers can enter Chongqingbei Railway Station from either side of the South Square and North Square, and passengers arriving at the station can transfer to other means of transportation through the underground city corridor to realize zero-distance transfer of railway, rail transit and public transportation.
