URUMQI, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will further downgrade its emergency response to the novel coronavirus outbreak, local authorities said Saturday.

Starting from Sunday, Xinjiang will lower its emergency response from the third level to the fourth level, according to the regional government.

Previously, Xinjiang downgraded its emergency response from the top level to the second level on Feb. 26, and to the third level on March 8.
