On March 23, in front of Chongqing Library, citizens lined up in an orderly manner to wait for admission.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As the epidemic prevention and control situation of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus pneumonia) in our city continued to be improved, Chongqing Library was reopened on March 23, and people need to wait in line to enter the library on the first day.

At 14:00 on March 23, Chongqing Library was reopened. The reporter of Chongqing Daily saw that many people were waiting in line in front of the South Gate of the library.

According to the person in charge of Chongqing Library, in order to reduce the waiting time of citizens, a queuing line has been specially drawn to remind citizens that they need to be more than 1 meter away from each other when queuing, and an infrared thermometer has been used to speed up the speed of entering the library.

At present, Chongqing Library has only restored part of its services. The infrared thermometer outside the library gate shows that more than 300 people have entered the library within 40 minutes of its opening. Liu Chun, a citizen who lives in Jiefangbei, said he can read online at home. But after all, he didn’t feel like reading in the library.

At present, the library has carried out a daily flow restriction of 2,000 people and no more than 500 people will be in the library at the same time. The library specially purchased a book disinfection machine, so readers can disinfect books themselves. (Translated by Luo Juan, Fathom Language Limited)
