The 669 medical workers from Chongqing returned home after finishing their tasks in Xiaogan.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- They received the high-level courtesy and deepest respect along the way. On March 23, a total of 669 medical workers from Chongqing returned home after finishing their tasks in Xiaogan, Hubei Province.

Xiaogan sent a farewell ceremony to the 669 medical workers to thank the angels in white and the vast majority of the people in Chongqing for everything they have done for the city.

At 12:00 noon, after the farewell ceremony, the team members took the bus out of the square. Seven police motorcycles used arrows to open the way for heroes. At each intersection the convoy passed, salute police officers saluted. The citizens of Xiaogan also came to see off the team spontaneously. Some people held banners and some held slogans to express their sincere gratitude along the road...

After learning about the counterpart support work, on the afternoon of February 10, Chongqing held a dispatch meeting of the commander-in-chief of the Leading Group for Epidemic Prevention and Control, demanding that all efforts be made to complete the task of supporting counterparts in Xiaogan to fight against COVID-19 (novel coronavirus pneumonia). Later on, each batch of the teams were assembled within 24 hours and went to Xiaogan to carry out the rescue work.

Among the 812 medical workers supporting Xiaogan in Chongqing, more than 80% have middle and senior professional titles, and more than 70% are engaged in respiratory, severe cases, infection and other professions.
