CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Body temperature detection is one of the effective methods for epidemic prevention and control. Have you ever seen a thermometer that shows your body temperature at a glance? According to Jiangbei Public Security Sub-bureau, in order to prevent and control the epidemic situation in the densely populated areas after the resumption of work and production in Guanyinqiao Business Circle, Jiangbei Police took the lead in equipping the patrol police of Guanyinqiao Business Circle with smart police helmets. Wearing it, the police can complete the body temperature detection of all personnel within a range of 3 to 5 meters in front with a glance. It can also automatically alert the personnel when it is too hot.

In Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street, Jiangbei District, two policemen have put on the special helmets to patrol the streets. The shape of the helmet is similar to that of a motorcycle helmet, but it is equipped with an external temperature measuring device on the left side and a screen at the right eye position. Through the screen, the police can see a thermal imaging screen, on which the specific temperature value of the personnel will also be displayed.

“In the environment with large flow of crowds, it can quickly detect the body temperature of the observed object.” Wang Chongxuan, a police officer at Jiangbei District Public Security Sub-bureau, said the helmet was jointly developed by a technology company in Shenzhen and the police. The original design was for smart police command and coordination. Due to the need of temperature check during the epidemic, the function of temperature check was temporarily added and the infrared temperature measurement system was installed.

There are two modes of helmet temperature measurement: single-person mode and multi-people mode. The single-person mode is to test the body temperature by pointing at an object in the display mirror, with a relatively high test accuracy. The other mode is the multi-people mode, which can quickly test the temperature of all the people in the screen in the environment of large flow of crowds. After testing, the maximum number of people can be 13 at the same time. The system will automatically give an alarm if anyone with abnormal temperature is found. All the detection information will be transmitted to the command center in real time through the network.

“Even in summer, outdoor high temperature will not affect the test accuracy." Wang Chongxuan said that the helmet has a wide range of requirements for the working environment, and it can be used in the temperature range of -20 - 120 ℃. The test distance of a helmet can be adjusted between 1-7 meters, about two meters is a test range, usually set as 3-5 meters. The test distance of the helmet is adjustable between 1 m and 7 m. A test interval of is about two meters and the normal set at a distance of 3-5 meters.

According to the head of Guanyinqiao Business Circle Police Station, Guanyinqiao Business Circle is one of the most densely populated areas in Chongqing. It is a problem about how to quickly detect the body temperature of personnel in epidemic prevention and control. For example, the most commonly used temperature measuring gun must be completed one-on-one, and each person’s measurement should be at least 2 to 3 seconds. Once the flow of people increases, it is easy to cause congestion. After equipped with this kind of intelligent helmet, it can greatly improve the efficiency of temperature screening and recording, and can monitor the abnormal temperature of people in the environment with large flow of crowds. Since March 25, a number of smart police helmets have been debugged in Guanyinqiao Business Circle and officially equipped to patrol police. After that, Jiangbei District Public Security Sub-bureau will continue to increase the number of helmets. (Translated by Luo Juan, Fathom Language Limited)
