TOKYO, April 9 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands around the 108.94 yen level in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.94-95 yen compared with 108.79-89 yen in New York and 108.83-85 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0860-0860 dollars and 118.30-32 yen against 1.0850-0860 dollars and 118.09-19 yen in New York, and 1.0860-0862 dollars and 118.19-23 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
