CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Jiangbeizui International Financial Center (Sunac A-ONE), a major municipal construction project in Chongqing in 2020, held a commencement ceremony in Jiangbeizui Financial Core Area.

The project has invited over 10 top masters from the world to work together to design the two largest design and development teams of the world’s tallest building, Burj Dubai and Shanghai Center, the first-high building of China. The main tower is 470 meters high, with 103 floors in total. After completion, it will refresh the record of Chongqing’s super high buildings and become the highest building in Chongqing.

Chongqing has been “growing taller” for more than 30 years

Chongqing is going to grow tall again! With the construction of the Jiangbeizui International Financial Center project (the main tower is 470 meters high with a total of 103 floors), the skyline of Chongqing will be refreshed again.

In fact, since the first tall building that broke through 100 meters in Chongqing in 1988, the city has been “growing tall”. A reporter of Chongqing Morning News collected and sorted out the “height” of many landmarks of Chongqing from public information, and sorted out the “Growing Memory” in Chongqing.

In 1988, the Industry and Trade Building in Nan’an District was completed. The height of 103 meters made it the first-high building in Chongqing over 100 meters.

In 2003, the 283.1-meter Chongqing World Trade Center was completed. This skyscraper, standing at Jiefangbei, raised the hundred place number of the tallest building in Chongqing to “2” for the first time. It was the tallest building in the west China at that time.

Twelve years later, the Chongqing National Gold Center, also located in Jiefangbei, struck the skyline of Chongqing’s tall buildings 300 meters with an impressive “height” of 339 meters.

In 2019, the 355-meter Raffles City and 300 meters of Chongqing Junhao International Business and Finance Center will add a “300-meter high club member” to Jiefangbei and Jiangbeizui respectively.
