“Bus” parked on the second floor

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “It’s amazing to drive the bus up to the second floor!” Recently, a building near Guanyinqiao in Jiangbei District has caught attraction in Wechat Moment. Who made this great hand painting? With this doubt, a reporter of Chongqing Evening News came to the old street of Yeshuigou Area next to Jianxin East Road Stop to visit the hand-painted wall on the spot.

“Bus on the second floor” becomes a hot scenic spot

In Chongqing, it’s normal to see the road after getting out from the first floor, or the eighth floor. Because of this strange terrain, it is not a miracle to “park” the bus on the second floor.

From Jianxin East Road to Zhongye Road, from the street to the “bus on the second floor”, the distance is about 200 meters, you can see it from a distance.

This “bus” parked on the second floor was almost restored totally according to the size of a bus, and “mounted” on the second floor of a three-story house. The windows of the house are exactly drawn as the windows of the bus. This bus is a bit like a tram 20 or 30 years ago. It is fused with a retro-style building. It seems to lead you back to the past, recalling your memories.

“Some people came here to take photos recently, saying that the idea of this bus is very special,” said a merchant downstairs.

On the left and right exterior walls of a nearby building, there are also drawings of the old Chongqing. In the picture, there are Chongqing stilts, trackers and peddlers... These are the scenes of old Chongqing.

“It used to be messy, and now it’s nice. My child has moved to live in Nanping and recently came back to see the paintings,” said one resident.

The old street with life scene

During the interview, what one citizen said was particularly impressive.

He said that the bus on the second floor was particularly “quiet”, which was in sharp contrast to the busy old street. While the old Chongqing painting beside it, with its stilts, peddlers, old streets and other patterns, seems to be telling about the past of the old street, which makes the old street even more like a world of smoke and fire.

At 9 a.m., during the interview, the reporter also deeply felt the normal life of this old street.

Through the Jianxin East Road Bus Stop, go into the Zhongye Road, ladder, shops, and old houses from tall office buildings... All they are like the previous Shibati (Eighteen Ladders). This hand-painted painting is in a Vegetable and Fruit Market Street on Zhongye Road.

“Ten yuan for three pairs of socks!”

“Preserved meat, on sale!”

“Shoes on sale, 30 yuan for a pair!”

……

Walking in this old street, there are shouts from time to time. They sell meat, vegetables and clothes. A 200-meter old street, piled up colorful life.

“It’s the same every day.” The owner selling braised pork said that there are many people in this old street every day, and they are “hanging in the market” every day. Most of the customers are nearby residents.

Answer to the doubt

Who painted this?

Ancient hand paintings match the busy old streets. Who painted them? With this doubt, the reporter found the relevant person in charge of Huaxin Sub-district Office in Jiangbei District.

According to her, the renovation of these walls was led by Huaxin Sub-district, which is a part of the renovation project of the old community. She revealed that while beautifying the wall, it can show the local customs. This is why we have pictures of the bus going upstairs and old Chongqing.
