The materials of this exhibition were mainly composed of calligraphy, painting, photos and music scores. Two of them were quite eye-catching. One was a freight car passing through the mountains, carrying the materials to help Wuhan, the other was a little girl taking online lessons in the mountain village.

Zeng Dezhi, a landscape painter, the author of these two paintings, said that “I use landscape painting to show the fighting against the epidemic. The first painting is called Rivers and Mountains Are Always in Love. The focus of its painting is all rivers and mountains. Let’s feel the feelings of Chinese people through the mountains and rivers of our motherland. The second picture is called Online Class in the Mountain Village. I have been paying attention to CCTV news. I saw a little girl named Yang Xiuhua, holding her mobile phone to find a signal for taking online class on the mountain. Her story inspired me to create this painting with this theme.”

Song Wei, Deputy Director of the Acquisition and Cataloguing Center of Chongqing Library, said that up to now, more than 1,000 copies of paper and electronic Anti-epidemic documents have been collected. “Since the launch of the collection on April 1, we have obtained anti epidemic diaries, paintings, songs and lyrics, and propaganda slogans donated by people from all walks of life,” she said. “The next step is to store these materials in the local literature reading room of our library and develop and use them at the right time.” (Translated by Luo Juan, Fathom Language Limited)
