CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Chongqing Airlines successfully completed the RNP AR (“Required Navigation Performance for Special Authorization”) procedure of Nyingchi Mainling Airport, and successfully passed the inspection of the Civil Aviation Chongqing Supervision Bureau. It marked that Chongqing Airlines has officially obtained the operating qualification of the airport and provided a solid operating foundation for the smooth start of Zhuhai — Chongqing — Nyingchi exclusive airline by the end of this month.

The Nyingchi Mainling Airport is located in the valley of the southern bank of Yarlung Zangbo River, with an altitude of 2948.9 meters, and a runway with a length of 3000 meters. It is surrounded by mountains covered by clouds with an altitude of 4000 meters. It is one of the airports with the most complicated flight environment and navigation station layout. The total airworthiness period of the whole year is only about 100 days.

Chongqing Airlines planned to launch the Zhuhai — Chongqing — Nyingchi exclusive airline by the end of this month, improve the airline network from the coastal areas to the west areas, and help further strengthen political, economic and tourism cultural exchanges between regions.
