BEIJING, May 17 (Xinhua) -- A novel drawing inspiration from the fight against poverty in an Yi village of southwest China's Sichuan Province has been published by Tiandi Press.

With the title literally translated as "The Roads of the Ancient Road Village," the book depicts the evolution of an inaccessible ethnic village into modernity from the perspective of its roads to the outside world.

Thanks to the improvement in transportation, local people were able to travel the road to prosperity with the help of the village's exceptional natural mountainous beauty, ethnic culture and crops.
