CHONGQING(CQNEWS) -- Last weekend, the 2020 China Sports Lottery Banan Shilong Happy Run fired a gun at the hydrangea base in Baishu Village, Shilong Town, Banan District, Chongqing. Nearly 300 local runners participated in the event and ran smoothly on the 5.2km runway covered by nearly 1,000 acres of hydrangea flowers. With the beginning of "Happy Run", it also marks the official opening of the first Banan Shilong Hydrangea Flower Tourism Festival in 2020.

The reporter learned that the theme of this happy run was "love" and "happiness", and the date is close to May 20. The track was 5.2 kilometers long, which took the beautiful meaning of "520"(I love you). In order to strengthen the epidemic prevention and control, and fully guarantee the safety of all the participants, the organizing committee conducted a comprehensive disinfection work on the site before the race, and had information collection and temperature measure for all the personnel on the site. At the same time, the organizing committee was also equipped with professional track rescue personnel and rescue equipment like AED to ensure the safety of the whole process. Every kilometer of the track was equipped with drinking stations and temperature measure stops, and the logistics support was fully configured.

According to the organizer in charge of this event, this hydrangea tourism festival will continue until July. During this period, citizens can go to Shilong Town to enjoy the colorful hydrangea flower sea, watch the unique beauty of Shilong, taste the ecological cuisine, and visit Chongqing's intangible cultural heritage, Zhou's Bayu wooden works, admire Chongqing's largest and unique fortress group with more than 100-year history, Yang's Diaolou, and experience exciting kart sports and some unique projects like fishing.
