CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, according to Bishan－Tongliang Line Project Department of China Railway 11th Bureau Group that the first urban express line in the main urban areas — Bishan － Tongliang Line Project has made a breakthrough in construction. The construction of Tongliang Station, a node project, has been started, and the whole line is expected to be completed and put into use in 2023.

The Bishan － Tongliang Line has a total length of 37.5 kilometers, a design speed of 140km/h, with 9 stations. It is the east-west express line of the main urban areas of Chongqing. It is also a demonstration line for the “integration of high-speed railway, intercity railway and subway” of Chongqing.

At the beginning of May this year, the construction of the Bishan － Tongliang Line Node Project began. Wang Zhongyi, Project Manager of the Bishan － Tongliang Line of China Railway 11th Bureau Group, said that the total length of the Bishan － Tongliang Line Node Project is 1.758km, all of which are viaducts, including Tongliang Station and viaducts along the line. The project is being accelerated. After completion, the Line will realize the transfer with the Bishan Station of Line 1 of Chongqing Rail Transit which has been opened, and connect with the planned Urban Rail Express Line 27. It can directly reach Daxuecheng, Shapingba, Daping, Chongqing Railway Station, Nanping, Chayuan, Chongqingdong Railway Station and other areas.

The Bishan － Tongliang Line is expected to be completed and put into use in 2023, when it will only take you 28 minutes from Tongliang to Bishan. After the Urban Rail Express Line 27 is completed, the Bishan － Tongliang Line will pass through the Line 27, and it will only take you 40 minutes from Tongliang to main urban areas of Chongqing.
