Chongqing Zoo brings seven “cute babies” back to nature

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the morning of May 20, Jiulongpo Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, together with the Chongqing Zoo Wildlife Rescue Center, released a batch of wild animals recovered after rescue. A total of 7 animals of 5 different species returned to the nature.

In the Jiulongpo Taojia Town Forest, the staff opened the cages one by one to release them. The crested goshawk flapped low and stopped in a tree deep in the forest. The released animals were all wild animals recovered after rescue this year, including 1 crested goshawk, 1 grey forest owl, 1 kestrel, 2 peregrine falcons and 2 Asian barred owlet. According to Zhou Jun, Chief Bird Veterinarian of Chongqing Wildlife Management Department, the animals will be raised for a period of time after rescue.
