CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, the Leading Group for Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Prevention and Control of Chongqing has released the Opinions on Further Improving the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 on a Regular Basis (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions). According to the Opinions, teachers and students on campus of low-risk areas and attendants of meetings with no more than 50 people are allowed to not wear masks.

Make regulations on wearing masks in different places

The Opinions pointed out that in terms of epidemic prevention and control, prevention should be given priority to and masks should be worn scientifically. Confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19, asymptomatic infected persons and their close contacts should wear masks. Masks shall be worn in hospitals, bus/train stations (airports), supermarkets (shopping malls), public transportation vehicles, van elevators and other closed places with dense crowds. Food and beverage practitioners, as well as salesmen, security guards, cleaners, drivers and passengers, service personnel in passenger stations, police, etc. working in closed public places shall wear masks. Teachers and students on campus of low-risk areas are not required to wear masks. Masks are not required for meetings of no more than 50 people. Masks may not be worn at home, outdoors or in a well ventilated environment without gathering of crowds.

At the same time, reduce gatherings. Keep a social distance for more than 1m. Reduce unnecessary gathering activities and reduce the number of people participating in gathering activities. Try not to go to places where people gather, especially closed places.

Strengthen ventilation and disinfection. Frequently open windows in the room to maintain air circulation. Public places, terminals, and public transportation must implement daily cleaning, disinfection and other sanitary measures. The use of air-conditioning shall be carried out in accordance with the Guidelines for the Operation and Management of Air-Conditioning and Ventilation Systems during the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 in Chongqing.

According to the opinion, the city will strictly implement the “Four Early” measures, implement the temperature detection measures in public places such as airports, railways, docks and urban rail transit, strengthen the pre-inspection and triage of medical institutions and the screening of fever clinics, strengthen the port health quarantine and screening, urge the government organs, enterprises and institutions to report the 

Suspected cases and asymptomatic infected people should follow the policies of “Discovery Early and Report Early”, and all case report shall not be concealed, missed or delayed.

For close contacts, people returning to Chongqing from overseas and key areas in China, patients with fever clinics, new inpatients and accompanying staff, medical staff, port quarantine and border inspection staff, prison staff, social welfare pension and other key population should be “examined thoroughly”, and other groups implement “willing to complete the examination”. The costs of “willing to complete the examination” shall be borne by enterprises or institutions. The examination charge standard shall be implemented and publicized according to the unified price stipulated by Chongqing Municipal Medical Insurance Department.

After receiving the report, the CDC should complete the epidemiological investigation within 24 hours, implement the “Early Isolation” measures, and carried out the isolation treatment for the confirmed cases and suspected cases in a timely manner. Asymptomatic infected persons should be managed according to the confirmed cases, and close contacts should be implemented for 14-day centralized isolation medical observation, and the isolation can only be lifted after passing the nucleic acid test according to the specifications. The setting of centralized admission hospitals and designated hospitals should be optimized, measures of “Early Treatment” should be implemented, and integrated Chinese and western medicine treatment should be strengthened.

In epidemic prevention and control, our city will highlight key links. For example, in key places, under the premise of implementing prevention and control measures, open shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and other living places in an all-round way; open parks, tourist attractions, sports venues, libraries, museums, art galleries and other indoor venues, as well as swimming pools, cinemas, KTV, cybercafe and other entertainment and leisure places by means of reservation and flow restriction; resume banquet in catering places; and hold all kinds of meetings, exhibition activities, etc. (Translated by Luo Juan, Fathom Language Limited)
