Wulong Science and Technology Museum expected to be put into service next year

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the commencement ceremony of Wulong Science and Technology Museum was held in Fair Mountain, Chongqing. The popular science and technology museum in the shape of a soaring eagle is expected to be completed and put into service in 2021, which will become a new place for citizens to explore secrets of science and experience the fun of science and technology, and a new name card of science popularization for the tourism of Fair Mountain.

Wulong Science and Technology Museum covers an area of 25,335 square meters, with its total building area of more than 7,000 square meters and total investment of 30 million yuan. The main work consists of one 2-storey 16-meter-high science and technology hall and one 1-storey science camp, among which the shape of the science and technology hall is like a soaring eagle.

According to relevant person in charge of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, Wulong, known as “the gate between Chongqing and Guizhou” since ancient times, is a place propitious for great men with lush mountains and lucid water. The acceleration of construction of district and county science and technology museums is of great significance to promote the balanced development of the citywide public services for science popularization, improve the basic service capability and level of science popularization and enhance the scientific literacy of citizens.
