Since now, tourists can book in advance for buying tickets. What are the highlights of Viewing Gallery? Let’s have a look with the report.

Field experience: “Old Chongqing” on Floor 1, and “Exploring Mars” on Floor 47

The Crystal Gallery located at the height of 250m over the intersection of two rivers is the characteristic key of Raffles City Chongqing, crossing the top of 4 buildings of 250 meters, with a length of 300 meters, a width of 32.5 meters, a height of 26.5 meters and an area about 10,000 square meters, and it seems like a “horizontal skyscraper” which has attracted attentions, and whose construction difficulty and engineering highlights set a new high-rise building record in China.

The entrance of Viewing Gallery is located at Jialing River Area on Floor 1, Raffles City Chongqing. After buying a ticket and scanning a QR code to pass the gate, tourists will pass by a moonlike gate, and start a journey to trace to the source of Chongqing.

This area is about 900 square meters, themed on Chongqing Humanity and Historical Development. It has six exhibition areas including “Source of Chongqing”, “Discovery of Chongqing”, “Modern Times”, “Western Gate”, “Views of the World” and “Participation in Future” collecting many photos and videos.

It is worth mentioning that there are such interaction devices as “Photo Shop of the Republic of China”, “History of the Western China” and “Giving A Smile to Chongqing”, which greatly improves the interest in exploring the culture and history of Chongqing.

Later, the reporter takes lift designed as a “space capsule” to Floor 47 to experience the Crystal Gallery which is consisted of indoor and outdoor galleries about 1,500 square meters in total.

Among which, the indoor part is designed as a Mars Exploration and Observation Station, and five 5D Mars-themed exhibition areas, displaying the human being's grand vision of making Mars a second habitable "earth”. It is interesting that tourists can move the timer shaft before an interaction device to observe the appearance change of Mars along with “age” changes. Such audio-visual contents are jointly made by the production team of National Geographic and “Live on Mars”.

Then, passing through the rainforests in the air, tourists can overlook the scenery along two rivers’ banks at a height of 250 meters, and appreciate the wonder formed by the different sediment concentrations of the Yangtze River and Jialing River from a view of 270°.

The suspending transparent glass floor at the end of the Gallery is prepared for the brave, and tourists can take photo with two rivers from another angle of view.

Going back to Floor 1, tourists can see the official souvenir store of Raffles City Chongqing at the exit, and such store provides the souvenirs which are of 9 themes and designed by Raffles City Chongqing and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
