CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- What does a prosecutor do? What’s it like in a procuratorate? What is the connection between the procuratorate and the minor? Recently, Chongqing People’s Procuratorate First Branch and Yubei Procuratorate jointly launched an Online Prosecution Open Day Activity of “Work Together as Responsible Partners, Protect Our Future with the Procuratorate”. Deputies to Municipal and District People’s Congress, student and teacher representatives were invited to visit the Procuratorate. Prosecutors introduced the responsibilities of the Procuratorate to primary students of Gulu School through live broadcast, and carried out a lively law popularization course online.

The live broadcast started from the Gate of Yubei Procuratorate and introduced the responsibilities of the Procuratorate and what the prosecutors were doing... Shu Huiqing, Assistant Prosecutor of Yubei Procuratorate, as the host, introduced to the students and teachers around her, as well as primary students of Gulu School who were watching the live broadcast.

“This is a sandbox for teenagers’ psychological games. With the guidance of a professional psychological teacher, you can put some favorite goods on the sandbox.” Shu Huiqing introduced the sandbox game in the room to students at “Shajie” Youth Rights Protection Post, which was also one of the important ways for prosecutors to understand teenagers and approach their hearts.

“Will minors be subject to criminal punishment?” During the Open Day, students can visit the Procuratorate. After the visit, Yubei Procuratorate also brought a cloud law popularization class for children. In the class, Prosecutor “Sha” popularized the law to prevent bullying on campus, minor crime and other issues closely related to children by telling stories and giving examples, and explained common legal misconceptions.

“We can’t give a professional explanation of legal knowledge, but children will face the risk of infringement of their rights and interests in life, learning, and on the Internet. Therefore, legal education is necessary from a young age,” Director Li Hongmei said.

According to Ding Han, Deputy Director of the Procuratorial Department of Yubei Procuratorate, in the future, more schools in the District will carry out such law popularization activities, so as to better safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of teenagers through more acceptable ways for them.
